I
sat down next to my two youngest with one of those hard tasks in mind. Earlier
in the afternoon I had responded improperly to something I thought they were doing
wrong. Okay, I lost it! But it was in a loving sort of way! (Guess I won't really
get around this one.) Encouragement can come from strange directions. But wherever encouragement comes from, it is a welcome treat. Paul was able to close out his letter to the Colossians with some words expressing how he had been encouraged. In verse 10 he wrote of Aristarchus and Mark (5 more "fellows" were mentioned in the next 5 verses). Those people were an encouragement to Paul. Whose list are YOU on? 1 Thessalonians 5:11 says, "Therefore encourage one another and build up one another..." My encouragement for Daniel was from a different direction. There was something about finding out his dad was human and not "always right." Perhaps there is something you could do or say to someone today that would "make their day." Make that one of your goals.
