One
of the great challenges of raising children is learning how to treat them individually.
Having had 7 children, their mother and I had to study a few more personalities
than the average family. Some of our children have been very outgoing while others
hid from strangers. Some have shown themselves writers and others musicians. Their
appearances are similar but they have distinctive physical characteristics. They
are all ours but they are individually so. There is really no one who is exactly like you. God sees you individually. You have special gifts and talents He will use in the specialized situations and experiences of your life. Paul referred to an individual as he closed out his letter to the Colossians (Colossians 4:17 ). He knew something that prompted the very specific message, "Say to Archippus, "Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it."" If God wrote you a specific individual message, what would He tell you? What are you doing or not doing that would garner God's attention? Would you be embarrassed if everyone knew? Take the time right now for a little self-examination. You are individually His and your Heavenly Father wants to speak to you as you seek to listen for His voice.
